MIDDLETON, WI -- (Marketwire) -- 02/11/10 -- Extreme Engineering Solutions is excited to announce XPort1004, a multi-protocol four port serial PMC module, and XPort1021, a multi-protocol eight port CompactPCI module, both featuring the Freescale MPC8270 PowerQUICC™ II processor. XPort1004 and XPort1021 are intelligent communications controllers targeting high-performance and low-cost applications.

XPort1004:

-- Freescale MPC8270 PowerQUICC II processor
-- Four SCCs support RS-232 or RS-422/RS-485

XPort1021:

-- Two Freescale MPC8270 PowerQUICC II processors
-- Eight SCCs supporting a broad range of serial protocols
-- Two front panel serial ports

Both I/O modules come with guaranteed 4-hour technical response to all hardware and software questions as well as in-house operating system support for Linux BSP and Wind River VxWorks BSP.
