Pervasive Software® Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), a global leader in cloud-based and on-premises data innovation, today announced it has been named a “Value Leader” in the 2012 Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) Radar™ for Integration Technologies for Hybrid Cloud: Q4 2012 report, for Pervasive Data Integrator™, Pervasive DataCloud®, and Pervasive Galaxy™. Pervasive also announced it has received an EMA Recognition Award for “Best Big Data and Hadoop Support.”
The report “examines the technologies companies are using to accomplish [cloud] integrations, as well as the scenarios, roles, and processes that are driving this evolution,” and states that:
- “Nearly 50 percent of companies surveyed have deployed tiered transactions spanning public Cloud and on-premise computing environments (one form of ‘hybrid Cloud’).”
- “Approximately 35 percent have integrated (or are in the process of integrating) multiple Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.”
EMA’s research on cloud integration indicates that companies deploying applications such as hybrid services show varying levels of satisfaction with their integration solutions.
“The growth of cloud-ready integration technologies will expand greatly over the next two years,” said Julie Craig, research director for EMA. “As more companies require data migration to and integration within the cloud, they will be looking for vendors that offer comprehensive hybrid cloud integration solutions and services. Pervasive Software’s showing on this study demonstrates a level of ‘Cloud-readiness’ that makes it well worth including on a vendor short list.”
The report notes, “Pervasive’s Data Integrator supports multiple use cases including Big Data and Hadoop. Pervasive also recently announced the addition of industry-specific connectors to support industry verticals and business users. This solution is geared toward line-of-business users who want to create their own integrations to take advantage of existing data.”
Additionally, Pervasive was recognized for the “Best Big Data and Hadoop Support” for its recent launch of Pervasive Data Integrator – Hadoop Edition. The report states, “Pervasive has invested heavily in the ability to support data processing at ‘extreme scale,’ and has actually built extensions to Hadoop to support Big Data analysis. EMA sees these capabilities as being at the leading edge of the Cloud integration marketplace, and this award recognizes Pervasive for its execution in these areas.”
“Every year we invest 25 percent in research and development to provide innovative offerings such as hybrid cloud services that our customers and partners depend on more every day,” said Lance Speck, general manager of Pervasive Integration Products. “With established integration expertise in the top growth industries, our ability to quickly process data and synchronize integrations with event-based real-time capabilities is of high value to those constantly interchanging data between cloud and on-premises applications.”
