PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, SDNCentral, the independent community for network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN), announced availability of a Japanese version of its website, http://www.sdncentral.com/ja. Stork Lab, Inc., a group company of SIOS Technology, Inc., will translate SDNCentral's blog and news posts to reach Japanese readers more comfortable reading in their native language. This will further increase the community reach of SDNCentral to its international readers. SDN and OpenFlow have had significant traction in Japan, with many major manufacturers and national carriers investing in early products and deployments. Stork Lab and SIOS Technology, Inc. will play a large role in the SDN revolution by bringing SDN-related content to Japan, in addition to their market roles as integrators and consultants in datacenter technologies and open-source platforms. "We are pleased to join SDNCentral as their translation partner for Japan. This is a perfect complement to our practice area in SDN, which is becoming the hottest topic the Japanese networking market," said Naoto Katsube, CEO of Stork Lab.
In addition, the educational community in Japan has been active contributors to SDN research over the last few years. SDNCentral hopes to extend its reach to these researchers and help promote active discussion. "Software-Defined Networking is huge in Japan, and to have the knowledge and information from SDNCentral in Japanese will help grow the overall community," said Dr. Suguru Yamaguchi, professor at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology in Japan, and former Japanese government's Advisor on Information Security for the Cabinet (in GOJ cabinet secretariat).
"We are excited to share SDNCentral's content with the Japanese audience who visit SDNCentral daily to learn about SDN and to catch up on the latest developments," said Roy Chua, partner at SDNCentral.
