Cleversafe Delivers Another Record Growth Year; Leads Dispersed Object-Storage Industry by Securing More Than 15 Billion Data Objects

Currently Storing Over 70-Petabytes of Data with Another 100 Petabytes Committed Over an Expanding Customer Base in 2013

CHICAGO, Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cleversafe Inc., the solution for limitless data storage, today announced it has had another record year of growth and is leading the industry in dispersed object-storage implementations with more than 70 Petabytes of stored data. Customers that have experienced first hand the ease of implementing an object-storage strategy to accommodate massive data growth have already placed orders to expand capacity, which will bring the number of Petabytes stored using Cleversafe's Object-based Dispersed Storage® solution to nearly 170 Petabytes across customers in media and communications, healthcare, geospatial and federal government verticals.


Founded in 2004, Cleversafe has made tremendous strides in technology innovation year over year to deliver on the capabilities of dispersed object-storage technology. This past year Cleversafe continued to exemplify ingenuity and drive to achieve limitless scale storage by removing limitations on the movement, management and storage of data in order to capitalize on the intelligence gained through Big Data analytics. In January, the company announced its ability to store data at Exabyte scale in order to keep pace with the growth of data sets, which are increasing at a rate of 60% or more each year. And most recently, the company announced a new series of storage appliances, based on Intel® Xeon® processors, to achieve performance level throughput of 1-Terabyte per second for ingesting and storing data at Exabyte scale.
