CAMPBELL, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/12/13 -- The 2013 Gartner "Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems" places ParAccel in the visionaries quadrant, the highest "ability to execute" axis within the quadrant and the furthest right on the "fullness of vision" axis. ParAccel believes this to be a testament to its ability to help customers harness unconstrained analytics to accelerate business momentum, innovate and compete. For this year's report, Gartner analysts evaluated 14 vendors.
ParAccel's expanded vision for cooperative processing; including innovative on-demand integration capabilities, aligns well with the logical data warehouse at a key moment in the analytics market. Its comprehensive set of advanced functions and in-database analytics speed the deployment of analytic applications. ParAccel already provides significant capabilities for social analytics and many of the new big data dataset issues such as analytics directly on Hadoop. Looking to the future, ParAccel's continued investment in new analytics capabilities and partnerships is driving the movement toward the analytics-driven enterprise.
"We believe that Gartner's recognition of ParAccel as a Visionary underscores our achievements in product improvements, investments and innovations that drive value and opportunities for our customers," said Chuck Berger, CEO of ParAccel. "We are pushing forward into the next phase of our industry -- advancing the analytics-driven enterprise."
Demonstrating innovation on the business side, ParAccel's new Right to Deploy licensing model offers a single license charge, based on intended use, regardless of type and number of servers and storage devices.
The 2013 Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems was written by Mark Beyer, Research Vice President, and Donald Feinberg, Distinguished Analyst and Research VP.
