Die auf der 2U-Twin-Architektur beruhenden Server der nächsten Generation sind in 2-Node- (TwinPro) und 4-Node-Konfiguration (TwinPro²) erhältlich und für Rechenzentren der Oberklasse mit hoher Rechnerdichte sowie Cloud Computing, Unternehmen, HPC und Big-Data-Anwendungen optimiert. Die Server der TwinPro-Reihe sind dank ihrer 12Gbs-SAS-3.0-Controller des Typs LSI 3108/3008 jetzt noch leistungsstärker und bieten neben maximierter Speicher-E/A auch NVM Express (NVMe) für eine sichere, beschleunigte PCI-E-SSD-Leistung. Mit der Onboard-10GbE- oder InfiniBand-56Gbs-FDR- bzw. 40Gbs-QDR-Option garantieren sie zudem maximale Bandbreite im Netzwerk. Zu den weiteren Features der TwinPro-Server zählen Dual-Intel®-Xeon®-E5-2600-v2-Prozessorunterstützung (bis zu 130 W TDP), eine erhöhte Speicherkapazität von bis zu 1 TB ECC-DDR3-1866-MHz-Speicher in 16x DIMMs, zusätzliche PCI-E-3.0-Erweiterungsslots, bis zu 12x hot-swap-fähige 2,5"- oder 6x 3,5"-Zoll-HDD/SSD-Schächte pro Node sowie die Möglichkeit, bei den 2U-TwinPro-Modellen eine GPU in voller Länge und doppelter Breite (2x SXM GPU optional erhältlich) bzw. einen Intel®-Xeon Phi™-Coprozessor pro Node zu verbauen.
