Equiso launches Play on Kickstarter to bring affordable AAA gaming to the masses

Equiso, a proven developer of innovative consumer entertainment platforms, has launched its latest product Play on Kickstarter (bit.ly/equisoplay), with full production models promised to backers at just $99.

Equiso Play is a truly open source, power-packed gaming console able to stream all iOS and Android games seamlessly to full-screen HDTVs using gamers’ smartphones or tablets solely as slick controllers. It takes the best parts of playing on a phone - touch and precision - and merges them with the living room playing experience gamers crave. Equiso Play has already been prototyped and its Kickstarter funding target of $250,000 will put Equiso Play into full production at just $99.

Equiso Play backers will play AAA games and indie titles on their full-screen HDTVs with full access to the Google Play store - packed with 1,132,053 games and apps - or other app stores, plus media channels including Netflix, Google Chrome, Vudu, Crackle, HBO GO and Hulu.
