BlazeMeter Joins Red Hat’s OpenShift Marketplace

BlazeMeter, provider of the JMeter based load testing cloud, today announced its general availability on Red Hat’s OpenShift Marketplace, a one-stop shop for cloud application development solutions.

BlazeMeter significantly simplifies the performance testing process for Web and mobile applications, maximizing the speed at which development teams can gather valuable load testing metrics by offering the best options for scalability, cost savings and geographic reach. BlazeMeter, which is 100 percent compatible with Apache JMeter, provides developers with easy integration into their native development environment, realistic user simulation, advanced scripting capabilities and unlimited on-demand load testing capacity. It also allows for interactive real-time reporting, sophisticated result analysis and distributed testing across multiple geographic locations.

OpenShift is Red Hat's award-winning Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that enables developers to quickly develop, host, and scale applications in both public cloud (OpenShift Online) and on-premise private cloud (OpenShift Enterprise) environments. OpenShift’s elastic, multi-language PaaS architecture automates the provisioning, management and scaling of applications, so developers can focus on writing the application code for their business, startup or next big idea. As a polyglot PaaS, OpenShift’s support for multiple languages, including Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, Node.js, and Perl, allows for a low barrier to entry, so developers can start their project with ease and start coding faster. OpenShift Online and OpenShift Enterprise are built from the OpenShift Origin open source project, which leverages Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the SELinux subsystem for a secure, multi-tenant architecture.

With its OpenShift Marketplace, Red Hat reduces the search time and cost of finding the perfect solution for customers seeking partner add-ons, such as cloud-based load testing from BlazeMeter. Customers easily access the information, tools, and community they need in a single location. The OpenShift Marketplace provides an ideal platform to reach customers and developers in one easy, interactive location, enabling independent software vendors to showcase their solutions and marketing material, and complete transactions in a few easy steps.

“BlazeMeter is thrilled to be a part of the OpenShift Marketplace,” said Alon Girmonsky, founder and CEO, BlazeMeter. “Through integration with Red Hat’s OpenShift ecosystem, Red Hat users can now use BlazeMeter's back-end testing platform to easily load test their OpenShift applications throughout the entire development lifecycle. Within minutes, they can run scalable load tests from 1,000 to more than 500,000 concurrent users. Now, users can feel confident that their apps will hold up under high demand and perform as expected.”

“Thousands of developers at organizations of all sizes are using OpenShift for their cloud applications,” said Julio Tapia, director, OpenShift Ecosystem, Red Hat. “The OpenShift Marketplace serves as a one-stop shop for these customers to find application development and DevOps solutions. Now, these customers will be able to deploy BlazeMeter from the OpenShift Marketplace quickly and easily to run load tests from the cloud.”
