Ayla Networks Selected as Global IoT Provider for Yifang Digital's Smart Home Initiative

One of World's Largest Electronics Manufacturers to Incorporate Ayla Technology and Services Into NexTurn Home Control Platform and Other Products; Ayla Enabled Connected Products to Begin With Home Control Platform

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - August 14, 2014) - Ayla Networks (www.aylanetworks.com), a leading provider of Agile Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, today announced that Yifang Digital Technology, a leading global manufacturer and innovator of consumer electronics, will use Ayla's cloud services and other technology to power a new line of intelligent products.

The first Ayla-enabled product from Yifang will be the NexTurn Home Control Platform, a starter kit for home automation that will establish new price points for expanding the market. A base set NexTurn devices will launch this year at major retail outlets, to be followed by additional devices, all connecting through a single smart application to iOS or Android devices.

Founded in 1992, Yifang is an ODM/OEM supplier specializing in tablets, wearables, iPhone accessories and other innovative consumer electronics. The company is one of the top eight tablet PC suppliers in the world whose buyers and partners include some of the largest retailers in the world. The Nextbook designed and manufactured by Yifang is the top selling tablet at one of the largest retailers in the United States.

Yifang selected Ayla after a competitive review process that took in to consideration security, compatibility, cost, scalability and other factors. Ayla was selected in part because the company can provide an adaptive platform that supports the connectivity requirements of a broad set of products. Solutions were also evaluated against their ability to provide the end-to-end security and privacy.
