Kollaras Group, founded in 1960 and today one of the largest privately-owned liquor organizations in Australia, needed a state-of-the-art and robust Big Data platform to meet the flexible requirements of its expanding business.

Data Transformed, an Actian and Yellowfin partner and Kollaras business consulting advisor, has upgraded the Group's systems to include Actian Analytics Platform and Yellowfin BI software. Kollaras' senior management now reap the benefits of speed, accuracy and flexibility to continually add new data sources into its data warehouse.

"Management is now able to rapidly analyze the business and respond to emerging trends using real time data, whilst eliminating significant manual processes in a way that was not possible before," said Jonathon Miller, IT Manager for Kollaras Group.

Data Transformed Professional Services provided management and business process consulting as well as project managing the Actian software and Yellowfin BI implementation.

"With a complex multi-entity and multi-divisional business, getting up-to-date, accurate and integrated analytics was previously a challenge for Kollaras' management," said Daniel Cox, Chief Technology Officer of Data Transformed. "Kollaras wanted a quick and painless implementation so we knew we needed to work with a well-known, professional and established Big Data provider such as Actian."

"Actian Analytics Platform is a perfect solution for expanding businesses with a need to scale out as well as up," said Jason Leonidas, Vice President of Actian Asia Pacific. "The combination of Actian, Data Transformed and Yellowfin analytics and expertise delivers one of the fastest and most cost effective Big Data solutions available today. This makes a significant difference to a customer's bottom line."
