Vgo Software Launches Rev - a Java Code Generator for the Enterprise

SAN FRANCISCO, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- JAVAONE CONFERENCE, Tuesday, May 8, 2007 -- Vgo Software Inc. announces the general release of Rev(TM), a tool that makes software developers more productive by generating complete, enterprise-class Java applications from a database schema.

To celebrate Rev's launch, Vgo will be giving away a new Sony Playstation3 gaming system. Anyone who installs and registers the no-cost trial version of Rev until May 18, 2007 will be entered in the contest. Trial versions can be downloaded at http://vgosoftware.com/ or picked up at JavaOne Booth 615 from May 8-11, 2007.

"Rev saves hours of repetitive work for Java application designers and developers by creating complete applications from any JDBC-compliant database schema," says Rob Nocera, CTO of Vgo Software. "Rev generates a working application where end users can create, read, update and delete (CRUD) records in a database and developers can modify, extend, and integrate the source code in any IDE."

In one affordable package, Rev generates J2EE persistence layer code in JDBC, Hibernate or EJB; user Interface tier files in JSF, Struts, AJAX or Swing frameworks; and features one-click deployment to leading J2EE web application servers including JBoss, Apache Tomcat, OC4J and Oracle 10gAS, BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere.

"This is the first release of many for this product. It directly addresses the needs of developers working to build scalable web applications with flexibility, efficiency and simplicity while being supported by a world- class team," said Ernst Renner, CEO of Vgo Software.

Rev is available for trial download or purchase on VgoSogtware.com. It is priced at US$299.00 per machine under a node-locked, non-expiring license. Annual support contracts are available separately for US$110.00.
